Plan Your First Visit
Our services are held every Sunday at 11am. We also have an adult Sunday School that starts at 9:45am where we discuss how to apply the previous week's sermon.
You can expect a friendly, genuine, welcoming church where you don't have to have everything figured out. Our Sunday service includes practical, Bible-centered teaching, worship, and time together as a church family. Service lasts about an hour.
Yes! We love kids—and we want church to be a place where they are known, valued, safe, and excited to come.
Our kids ministry teaches biblical truths in an age-appropriate way that connects with what parents are learning in the main service. Our goal is to help parents disciple their kids at home, not simply keep them busy for an hour.
Our children's and youth ministry workers are background checked, and we take the safety of every child seriously.
Whatever you're comfortable wearing. We believe God is more focused on our heart than our appearance. You'll see people in jeans, casual clothes, and more dressed-up outfits. There's no dress code, and nobody is keeping track of what you wear.
You're not the only one. Maybe you've experienced judgment, hypocrisy, legalism, disappointment, or just felt like church wasn't for you. We won't pretend Christians or churches have always gotten everything right. But we'd love to give you a place to take another look—not at a bunch of rules or religious performance, but at Jesus.

Your kids will have fun, make friends, and learn about Jesus—but we believe church should be more than entertainment. Each week, our kids learn the same biblical truth their parents are learning in the main service, taught in a way that is engaging, understandable, and meaningful for them.
We want to come alongside parents as you raise kids who know God, love His Word, and understand what it means to follow Jesus. With lots of young families and kids around, your children can grow in faith while becoming part of a church family that knows their name and cares about them.
Real friendships are hard to find, and harder to keep. Our men's ministry is a place to be known, not impressed. You don't need to have it all together, because none of us do. We're guys at different stages of life who show up honestly, share what's really going on, and trust each other with it.
We believe men grow in faith when they walk with other men who will listen, pray with them, and tell them the truth in love. Whether you've followed Jesus for decades or are just beginning to ask questions, you'll find a group of men who will support you, encourage you, and stand with you through the good seasons and the hard ones.
Our women's ministry is a place built on transparency and authenticity. You don't have to perform or pretend here. You'll find women who understand because they've been through similar struggles, and who will respond with grace instead of judgment.
We believe women grow in faith when they're known and supported by others walking the same road. We're not a polished group with all the answers. We're women who show up, tell the truth about where we are, and pray for each other.

Pastor Dan and his family came to First Baptist of New Milford in 2023, and he has been serving as our head pastor since 2025.
Pastor Dan believes that the Gospel of Jesus is good news for everyone—no matter their background, doubts, or experiences. His desire is to create a space where people can come as they are, feel truly welcomed, and explore what it means to follow Jesus at their own pace.
